Science Bowl
Congratulations to all the students on getting selected for the team!
The National Science Bowl (NSB) is an exciting and challenging competition that tests knowledge in Science and Math topics in middle school. This year we have an experienced and dedicated NSB teacher-coach from DVHS who will help with the Science Bowl. We will run a comprehensive, strong program comprising 2 meetings per week. The first weekly meeting is an interactive science lecture geared towards NSB contest preparation, while the second weekly meeting will focus on buzzer practices/quizzes in team settings. Students will gain exposure to several middle school and high school science topics through this process. Meetings will be held at WRMS.

- A $200 donation is suggested from each team member to cover the costs of team registration, resources, and teacher proctors.
- Placement was conducted and Students with the top scores were selected for the team
- Other meeting and club info including the club start dates, timings, and location will be sent out by the Science Bowl Team Lead
- Please have your student check their email inbox regularly for updates
There will be two meetings per week, starting in September, and students must come for both meetings. The first session will be virtual, Mondays at 4PM, and is an interactive lecture/learning series presented by students from DVHS. The second sessions are Fridays 4-5:30PM at Dougherty Valley room 1109 and Mr. Su, the coach at Dougherty, prepares students for buzzing.
